Newcastle Wrap up their First Signing of the Summer

There has been news coming out of the club today that Newcastle United have completed their first summer signing: the 16 year-old Slovakian U17 Captain, Lubomir Satka.

For obvious reasons, there was not a lot of information I could find on the player, but, thanks to google translate, I’ve been able to pick up a few small facts about the player from the Swedish website, Svenska Fans.

He is a tall central defender, known in Slovakia for his excellent vision on the ball, an attacking prowess  and strong leadership skills, which has, as a result, earned him the Slovakia U17 captaincy.

With Christophe Lowinski and Valentin Gjokaj (Lucerne) currently on trial at the club, it looks like Newcastle are heavily concentrating on young talent, to improve the, soon-to-be, depleted reserve side.

The Slovak joined up with the U18 side yesterday, heading off to Hong Kong for the Hong Kong 7s tournament, being held in Happy Valley.

UNITED squad: Alnwick, Campbell, Dummett, Inman, Hooper, Logan, Miele, Richardson, Tavernier, Maddison, Satka
