Statement from Nancy Regarding Haidara Transfer

AS Nancy have this morning confirmed the imminent transfer of Massadio Haidara to Newcastle, on the club website.

The 20-year-old France Under-21 international full-back is now on his way to England for a medical ahead of concluding a deal.

This is the statement that on the site:

After 46 matches in two and half years in the jersey of AS Nancy, Massadio Haidara is leaving his former club for Newcastle United, currently sitting 16th in the Premier League.

‘The two clubs reached an agreement and will finalise the transfer this Tuesday.’

The international hopes to fly this morning to the North of England where he will join up with a large French contingent, already consisting of Matthieu Debuchy, Yohan Cabaye, Hatem Ben Arfa, Romain Amalfitano, Sylvain Marveaux, Gabriel Obertan et Mehdi Abeid.’

So, it looks as though this deal will be completed today, in line hopefully with the confirmation of the acquisition of Montpellier Captain Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa.

Howay the lads!
