Newcastle confirm their final pre-season friendly


Newcastle will play Basque giants Real Sociedad in their final Pre-season friendly of the summer on Sunday 10th August at St. James’ Park.


 

In confirming the news the Magpies have completed their schedule of all the pre-season games. La Real are the founding members of La Liga and their longest spell in Spain’s top division lasted from 1967- 2007.

Newcastle had previously confirmed seven other friendlies to be played in England, Germany and New Zealand. The club will play against Oldham Athletic, Sheffield Wednesday and Huddersfield Town in England. On their foreign travels, they will be participating in two pre-season tournaments, one in Germany and the other in New Zealand.

The match against Sociedad is the only match the club will be playing at their home ground.
