VIDEO: Watch both Newcastle goals vs West Brom HERE

Ayoze Perez opens the scoring for Newcastle at West Brom with a stunning flick

Ayoze Perez and Fabricio Coloccini scored both goals in a 2-0 defeat of West Bromwich Albion. Newcastle have now med up to 7th position, and are only two points of the Champions League qualification places.

This was the third league game in succession in which the Spanish second division young player of the year has scored for Newcastle as they have bounced back from what seemed like the lowest level Pardew could reach while still in employment to hit seventh place in the table, before Swansea City kicked off against Arsenal.

Ayoze Perez, the £1.5m signing from Tenerife, has helped the transformation, showing pace, fearlessness and finishing touch upfront, claiming a brilliant flicked opener for Newcastle here.

Perez Goal:

The second arrived in far less glorious fashion, but it was still a well worked goal, especially from the Dutch right back, Darryl Janmaat.

Fabricio Coloccini was still up from an earlier corner when the ball was worked back out to Janmaat who bamboozled Youssouf Mulumbu before delivering a lofted cross for the Newcstle captain to thud in his first Premier League goal since January 2011.

Coloccini Goal:

Newcastle United have now won five games in a row, reached the quarter-finals of the Capital One Cup, climbed into the top eight of the Premier League and not conceded a goal in 342 minutes in all competitions.
