Magpies Tracking Non-League Hotshot

Newcastle United are one of the clubs who have expressed an interest in Ilkeston FC striker Che Adams.

Che is out of contract with the Robins next summer and is widely tipped for a move this January.

Apart from Newcastle United the Leicester born striker is also been tracked by Southampton, Burnley, Sunderland, Norwich City, Rangers, Nottingham Forest, Wolverhampton Wanderers and Crewe Alexandra.

The Daily Star reports that the club have already had a bid rejected for the 18 year old but the club will not give on the striker. Crewe were reported to be leading the race for the player but those claims have now been denied too.

Adams has caught the eyes of all these clubs with brilliant displays for the club since making his senior debut last season. In fact he is the non-conference player to have been selected for England C duty later this month.

Even though an initial bid may have been rejected but what might help the North-East club is that fact that the player has recently signed with Lee Payne; a former Magpie.

Manager Alan Pardew recently said that the club made a conscious decision to not sign young players from abroad so scouring England for the best talent available does come as no surprise.
