Toon striker joins Gateshead on loan
Newcastle United’s 19 year old reserve striker Tom Heardman has joined Conference side Gateshead on loan for the next month.
The 6ft 4in striker has been sparkling form this season and has turned out for both the U-18 and U-21 sides finding the back of the net 13 times. He even scored the winner against Wolverhampton wanderers in a friendly in September.
The Gosforth born striker will be immediately be available for selection and has been included in the squad for the visit of Lincoln City.
The Magpies have had a successful association with Gateshead having previously sent players like Paul Dummett, Jack Alnwick and James Tavernier on loan there.
Heardman can still turn out for the Newcastle’s U-21 squad under the loan agreement.
