Another Youngster Set for First Team Debut Tomorrow?

Seventeen year-old academy prospect, Callum Roberts, has been named in the squad for the Premier League clash with QPR this weekend.

The youngster has been doing well in the reserve team squad in recent weeks, and was particularly impressive in the U21 clash with Stoke last week, which was televised live on Sky.

Spotted as a kid playing for the ‘Whitley Bay Sproggs’, Roberts joined United at the age of eight and hasn’t looked back.

Having watched the young winger at close quarters in recent times, both Peter Beardsley and Ryan Taylor have also been quick to mark him down as a future potential star.

Roberts said on social media: “Absolutely buzzing to be in the first team squad tomorrow against QPR.”
