Are Newcastle Lining Up This Lad as Janmaat Replacement?

Newcastle United have today been linked with Hoffenheim right back Andreas Beck according to Daily Mirror.

The 28 year old joined the German club in 2008 and has since made close to 200 appearances for the club scoring three goals.

Beck is also a German international and has nine international caps to his name having made his debut against Norway in 2009.

The newspaper also reports that it will cost potential suitors £1.5million to prize the Russian born defender away from Rhein-Neckar-Arena. Serie A club SSC Napoli have also been linked with a move for the right Back.

The Magpies have in recent times have been linked with a lot of players currently playing in Bundesliga so there may be something to this link.

Given how Newcastle operate the transfer of Beck may mean that current Daryl Janmaat may be on his way out. The 25 year old has been linked with Liverpool in recent times after impressing in his first season in the Premier League. The Dutch international has played in all 30 league games for the North-East club scoring one goal.
