SKY SPORTS: Berahino Leaves Training Ground Early
Newcastle United target, Saido Berahino, has just departed the West Brom training ground before training has even finished.
Amid rumours that Newcastle have submitted a second bid after the rejection of their initial £21m offer, various outlets are reporting that West Brom have finally given in to the striker’s wantaway demands.
Sky Sports have confirmed on their Twitter account that Berahino has now left the training ground early (before training has even finished) and have speculated that he could be on his way to his next club. Whether that is Newcastle remains to be seen…

Stoke and Tottenham Hotspurs have also been heavily linked with the England international over the past 48 hours, and there is no doubting that Newcastle will face stern competition for his signature as the clock ticks towards midnight.

Nonetheless, having already shipped over £28m in this transfer window alone, it is believed that Mike Ashley is willing to continue these unprecedented levels of spending in order to get the right players in.
UPDATE: The club have moved to quash rumours of a departure by suggesting that Berahino has left early due to a “slight knock”. To be quite honest, I think £24m is more than a slight knock…
